We run a programme of training workshops for beginners and experienced knitters. Listed below are current workshops. Full payment is required at time of booking as spaces are limited. A full refund can only be refunded up to two weeks before the workshop date. Should the workshop be cancelled by the shop or by the tutor a full refund will be given. Further details of the requirements for each class will be given on booking and payment.

KNIT ONE BELOW with Fiona Morris
£40 Thur 11 March 2010 10am - 4pm
This technique allows you to easily knit narrow vertical stripes and reversible fabrics in stocking stitch and rib. As well as combining 2 different colours you can also combine 2 different textures.
FINISHING TECHNIQUES with Anne Makepeace

The finishing techniques workshop aims to give participants the chance to learn the most commonly used techniques, beginning with basics i.e. the best ways to cast on, how to achieve an even and correct tension and how to shape the knitted fabric, going on to cover picking up stitches around necklines, short row shaping, grafting stitches, button holes and finally sewing up techniques such as mattress stitch.
LEARN TO KNIT with Anne Makepeace

Designed for the complete beginner or for those who want to brush up on forgotten skills. Starting with casting on and working through different stitches to casting off.
USING UP YOUR STASH with Fiona Morris

This workshop looks at a number of stitch techniques and textures to make the most of a variety of colours and textures within one piece of knitting, and a selection of items to knit requiring only one ball!
KNITTING GARMENTS WITH BEADS with Fiona Morris

This workshop will cover knitting with beads in order to place beads in a stocking stitch based fabric within a garment. 2 methods of knitting beads into the fabric will be covered, as well as working from charts and threading the beads.
FAIRISLE STRNDED KNITTING with Fiona Morris

Traditional Fair Isle knitting using 2 colour stranded technique to produce multi coloured patterns, with 2 or more colours. Also covered will be knitting with a yarn in each hand and working in the round with Fair Isle.

SOCK KNITTING with Anne Makepeace

A chance to try four needle knitting in the round to produce beautiful socks. This workshop takes you all the way from the cuff of the sock around the heel and down to the toe. Participants will produce a baby sized sock in the day incorporating all the sock techniques.

Domino/patchwork knitting is a great way to use up small amounts of yarn and combining lots of colour and texture making items that require a minimal amount of sewing up when the knitting is finished. This workshop will concentrate on the square unit.
